Advantech offers a solution package, Community & home terminal system, that operates in the BA/HA (Building Automation/ Home Automation) systems, acting as go-between devices that link in-home networks with WAN networks. For residential application, it will be central control panel which integrated with lighting systems, HVAC, security sensors and even internal motor devices. These individual home networks can be connected to a wide area network (WAN) for remote data exchange as well as communications functions. For external security center and residential manager centre, its networking environment allows computers, appliances and devices to share and exchange data on a local area network (LAN). The emergence of wireless and high-speed networking technologies is fueling the growth of this industry with more services being added and costs continuing to fall.
